AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Million Dollars ($5,000,000.00) from
the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of the
Lemay Service Area ORS Skinker-McCausland Tunnel (L-12A, 96007A), in the City of St.
Louis and University City, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract
with Affholder, Inc. for the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of the Skinker-McCausland Tunnel is
Twenty-Seven Million Three Hundred Eighty-Six Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty Dollars
($27,386,950.00), and
WHEREAS, pursuant to ' 7.120 of the Plan of the District, the appropriation
effected herein will not result in a deficit at the end of the current budget year,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Five Million Dollars ($5,000,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of the Lemay Service Area ORS Skinker-McCausland Tunnel (L-12A,
96007A), in the City of St. Louis and University City, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract
with Affholder, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of the Lemay
Service Area ORS Skinker-McCausland Tunnel (L-12A, 96007A), in the City of St. Louis
and University City, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 3rd day of
October, 1996.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take
effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 14, 1996.
