AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($750,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for construction phase services for
Phase II Odor Control and Process Control System Upgrade Installation at the Lemay
Treatment Plant; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Amendment No. 8 to Contract E-775
with Sverdrup Civil, Inc. for the aforesaid professional engineering services.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 8898, adopted February 10, 1993, provided the
initial funding for said services, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($750,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for construction
phase services for Phase II Odor Control and Process Control System Upgrade Installation at
the Lemay Treatment Plant.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Amendment No.
8 to Contract E-775 with Sverdrup Civil, Inc. for construction phase services for Phase II
Odor Control and Process Control System Upgrade Installation at the Lemay Treatment Plant;
said amendment to be comprised of such terms and conditions as are approved by the office
of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take
effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 14, 1996.
