HomeMy Public PortalAbout09971 O R D I N A N C E NO. 9971 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($350,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the procurement of a biofilter (96083A) for the Lemay Treatment Plant, in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Monsanto Enviro-Chem Systems, Inc. for the furnishing of the aforesaid equipment, in compliance with ' 9.040 of the Plan of the District. WHEREAS, the evaluated bid for the furnishing of said biofilter is Three Hundred Twenty-Six Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($326,400.00), and the allowance for change orders is Twenty-Three Thousand Six Hundred Dollars ($23,600.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($350,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the procurement of a biofilter (96083A) for the Lemay Treatment Plant, in St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Monsanto Enviro-Chem Systems, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the furnishing of a biofilter (96083A) for the Lemay Treatment Plant in St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 30th day of September, 1996. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 14, 1996.
