AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Two Hundred Thirty-Five
Thousand Dollars ($1,235,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Lower Meramec River Basin to be used for project costs for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Upper Fishpot Sanitary Relief Phase I (90078), in the
City of Ballwin, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer
on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Karsten
Equipment Company for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is One
Million One Hundred Seventy-Four Thousand Four Hundred Forty-Four Dollars
($1,174,444.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Sixty Thousand Five
Hundred Fifty-Six Dollars ($60,556.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized
herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Two Hundred Thirty-Five Thousand
Dollars ($1,235,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Lower Meramec River Basin to be used for project
costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Upper Fishpot Sanitary Relief Phase I
(90078), in the City of Ballwin, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract
with Karsten Equipment Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction
of sanitary sewers in Upper Fishpot Sanitary Relief Phase I (90078), in the City of
Ballwin, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 25th day of September,
1996.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take
effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 14, 1996.
