AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($750,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of sanitary sewers in UR-05 River des Peres Sanitary Relief Phase II
(89057), in the City of Overland, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. for the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid sanitary sewers is Seven Hundred
Eleven Thousand Seven Hundred Sixty-Three Dollars ($711,763.00), and the allowance
for construction change orders is Thirty-Eight Thousand Two Hundred Thirty-Seven Dollars
($38,237.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized
herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Seven Hundred Fifty-Seven Dollars
($750,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in UR-05 River des Peres Sanitary
Relief Phase II (89057), in the City of Overland, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract
with Bates Utility Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of
sanitary sewers in UR-05 River des Peres Sanitary Relief Phase II (89057), in the City of
Overland, Missouri, within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids
received and opened on the 4th day of October, 1996.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 14, 1996.
