HomeMy Public PortalAbout09993 O R D I N A N C E NO. 9993 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Million Eight Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars ($2,840,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of the Lemay Service Area ORS Lower River des Peres Sewer Replacement and Consolidation (Phase II) (L-03F, 93038F), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the aforesaid construction. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of the Sewer Replacement and Consolidation is Two Million Seven Hundred Three Thousand Two Hundred Sixty-nine and 75/100 Dollars ($2,703,269.75) and the allowance for change orders is One Hundred Thirty-six Thousand Seven Hundred Thirty and 25/100 Dollars ($136,730.25). WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 7.120 of the Plan of the District, the appropriation effected herein will not result in a deficit at the end of the current budget year, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Two Million Eight Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars ($2,840,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of the Lemay Service Area ORS Lower River des Peres Sewer Replacement and Consolidation (Phase II) (L-03F, 93038F), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of the Lemay Service Area ORS Lower River des Peres Sewer Replacement and Consolidation (Phase II) (L-03F, 93038F), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 15th day of October, 1996. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 12, 1996.
