AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Six Million Three Hundred Thousand Dollars
($6,300,000.00) from the Clean Water Capital Improvement Trust Fund to be used for
project costs for the construction of the Bissell Point Watershed Overflow Regulation System
Miscellaneous Pumping Station Modifications (BP-014, 94089), in the City of St. Louis,
Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Tarlton Corporation for the
construction of the aforesaid contract.
WHEREAS, the bid for the Miscellaneous Pumping Station Modifications is Five
Million Two Hundred Ninety-eight Thousand Dollars ($5,298,000.00) and the allowance for
procured equipment and change orders is One Million Two Thousand Dollars
($1,002,000.00), and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 7.120 of the Plan of the District, the
appropriation effected herein will not result in a deficit at the end of the current budget year,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Six Million Three Hundred Thousand Dollars
($6,300,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Clean Water Capital Improvement Trust
Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of the Bissell Point Watershed Overflow
Regulation System Miscellaneous Pumping Station Modifications (BP-014, 94089), in the City
of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Tarlton Corporation as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of the Bissell Point
Watershed Overflow Regulation System Miscellaneous Pumping Station Modifications (BP-014,
94089), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 29th
day of October, 1996.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take
effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 12, 1996.
