O R D I N A N C E NO. 10004
AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seventy-three Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty
Dollars ($73,750.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of
Lynn Haven to be used for project costs for the construction of a paved channel and
appurtenances in Town and Country Drive Channel Repairs (96052), in the City of
Hazelwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf
of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson
Construction Company, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid paved channel and
appurtenances.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said paved channel and
appurtenances is Seventy Thousand Two Hundred Eleven Dollars ($70,211.00), and the
allowance for construction change orders is Three Thousand Five Hundred Thirty-nine Dollars
($3,539.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Seventy-three Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars
($73,750.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Lynn Haven to be used for project costs for the construction of a paved
channel and appurtenances in Town and Country Drive Channel Repairs (96052), in the City
of Hazelwood, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Gershenson Construction Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction
of a paved channel and appurtenances in Town and Country Drive Channel Repairs (96052),
in the City of Hazelwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 6th day of
November, 1996.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take
effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 12, 1996.
