AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($550,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for the procurement of Belt
Filter Presses as part of the Missouri River Treatment Plant Sludge Process Improvements
(96063), and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Andritz-Ruthner, Inc. for the
furnishing of the aforesaid Belt Filter Presses.
WHEREAS, the bid for the furnishing of said Belt Filter Presses is Five Hundred
Thirty-four Thousand Four Hundred Ninety Dollars ($534,490.00), and the allowance for
change orders is Fifteen Thousand Five Hundred Ten Dollars ($15,510.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Five Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($550,000.00)
is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for the procurement of
Belt Filter Presses as part of the Missouri River Treatment Plant Sludge Process
Improvements (96063).
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Andritz-Ruthner, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the furnishing of Belt Filter Presses
as part of the Missouri River Treatment Plant Sludge Process Improvements (96063),
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 7th day of November, 1996.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take
effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 9, 1997.
