HomeMy Public PortalAbout10074 O R D I N A N C E NO. 10074 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Twenty-four Thousand Dollars ($424,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in St. Gemme Sanitary Relief Phase II Sec. B-1 (91050A), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Karsten Equipment Co. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Four Hundred Three Thousand Four Hundred Twenty-four Dollars ($403,424.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Twenty Thousand Five Hundred Seventy-six Dollars ($20,576.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Twenty-four Thousand Dollars ($424,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in St. Gemme Sanitary Relief Phase II Sec. B-1 (91050A), in St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Karsten Equipment Co. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in St. Gemme Sanitary Relief Phase II Sec. B-1 (91050A), in St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 3rd day of April, 1997. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. 3 The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 8, 1997.
