AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Sixty-five Thousand Dollars
($265,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for the procurement of a
sludge lagoon auger tractor for the Missouri River Treatment Plant Sludge Dewatering
Improvements (96063) in Maryland Heights, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director
and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Winning Equipment Company for the furnishing of the aforesaid equipment.
WHEREAS, the bid for the furnishing of said tractor is Two Hundred Fifty-three
Thousand Four Hundred Twelve Dollars ($253,412.00), and the allowance for change orders
is Eleven Thousand Five Hundred Eighty-eight Dollars ($11,588.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Sixty-five Thousand Dollars
($265,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for the
procurement of a sludge lagoon auger tractor for the Missouri River Treatment Plant Sludge
Dewatering Improvements (96063) in Maryland Heights, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Winning Equipment Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the furnishing of a sludge
lagoon auger tractor for the Missouri River Treatment Plant Sludge Dewatering Improvements
(96063) in Maryland Heights, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 18th day
of March, 1997.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take
effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 8, 1997.
