HomeMy Public PortalAbout10084 O R D I N A N C E NO. 10084 AN ORDINANCE, repealing Ordinance No. 9914, as adopted July 11, 1996, and enacting a new ordinance in lieu thereof, authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to sell and convey to the City of St. Louis, Missouri certain real property of the District located in the City of St. Louis, Missouri (District Site No. 123), and prescribing the terms of said transaction. WHEREAS, said real property is located along the River des Peres, and because of its location, it has no commercial or residential value, and WHEREAS, the City of St. Louis, Missouri desires to acquire said real property for use for public park purposes, and WHEREAS, said real property is of no use to the District, and has been declared as surplus pursuant to Resolution No. 2220, adopted June 13, 1996, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. Ordinance No. 9914, as adopted July 11, 1996, is hereby repealed. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to sell and convey to the City of St. Louis, Missouri certain real property of the District located in the City of St. Louis, Missouri for the total sale price of One Dollar ($1.00), said real property being described as follows: Parcel No. 1: Lot 35 in Re-Subdivision by Michael Hammel of Block 6 of Payne's Subdivision and in Block 3282 of the City of St. Louis, fronting 25 feet on the North line of Lorentz Street, beginning at a point 36 feet 6 inches South of the City Limit Line as established in 1876, thence East 25 feet along the East line of Lorentz Street, thence Eastwardly 140 feet, more or less, to an alley 20 feet wide on which there is a width of 25 feet. Known and numbered no street address and also known as Parcel 3282-00-08000 of the City of St. Louis. Parcel No. 2: Lot 36 in Re-Subdivision by Michael Hammel of Block 67 of Payne's Subdivision and in Block 3282 of the City of St. Louis, beginning at a point on the North line of Lorentz Street 95 feet 11 inches West of the West line of the River des Peres right-of-way and the North line of Lorentz Street; thence West 25 feet to the East line of Lot 35; thence North between parallel lines a distance of 140 feet to the West line of an alley 20 feet wide; bounded East by Lot 37, West by Lot 35, North by an alley and South by Lorentz Street of said Block and Subdivision. Known as and numbered Lorentz Street and also known as Parcel 3282-00-00700 of the City of St. Louis. Parcel No. 3: Lot 37 in Re-Subdivision by Michael Hammel of Block 6 of -3- Payne's Subdivision and in Block 3282 of the City of St. Louis, beginning at a point in the North line of Lorentz Street 70 feet 11 inches West of the West line of River des Peres right-of-way and the North line of Lorentz Street, thence West 25 feet to the East line of Lot 36; thence Northwardly a distance of 123 feet 11 inches, more or less, and its East line of 140 feet on its West line to the South line of an alley 20 feet wide; bounded East by Lot 38, West by Lot 36, North by an alley, and South by Lorentz Street of said Block and Subdivision. Known as and numbered XXXX Lorentz Street and also known as Parcel 3282-00-00600 of the City of St. Louis. Parcel No. 4: Lot 38 of Re-Subdivision by Michael Hammel of Block 6 of Payne's Subdivision and in Block 3282 of the City of St. Louis, fronting 25 feet on the North line of Lorentz Street, by a depth Northwardly of 123 feet 11-1/2 inches, more or less, on its East line to the South line of River des Peres right- of-way having a width thereon of 50 feet 4-1/8 inches. Known as and numbered XXXX Lorentz Street and also known as Parcel 3282-00-00500. Parcel No. 5: Lot 39 in Re-Subdivision by Michael Hammel of Block 6 of Payne's Subdivision and in Block 3282 of the City of St. Louis, beginning at a point in the West line of River des Peres right-of-way and the Southern line of Lorentz Street; thence West 45 feet 11 inches to the East line of Lot 38; thence North 80 feet 3-1/8 inches, more or less, to the West line of River des Peres right-of-way; thence Southeastwardly on a straight diagonal line 92 feet 5-1/2 inches, more or less, to the North line of Lorentz Street and point of beginning. Known as and numbered XXXX Lorentz Street and also known as Parcel 3282-00-00400 of the City of St. Louis. Section Three. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby -4- authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to execute and deliver a Special Warranty Deed and any other documents as approved by the office of the General Counsel of the District as may be necessary to effect the sale and conveyance of the real property as authorized in Section Two above, and further to deposit the proceeds from said sale and conveyance in the Reserve for Real Property Purchase Improvement and Alterations Account. -5- The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 8, 1997.
