Leesburg Trash Collection to Increase to Twice a Week
Leesburg, VA (July 17, 2013) – Beginning in August 2013, Leesburg curbside residential
customers will receive trash collection twice a week. The additional trash collection will occur
on residents’ normal recycling collection day. There are no changes to the recycling or yard
waste collection schedules.
The new curbside residential collection schedules are:
Southeast & Southwest Quadrants (including South King Street & West Market Street):
• Monday – trash*
• Thursday – trash, recycling and yard waste
Northeast & Northwest Quadrants (including North King Street):
• Tuesday – trash*
• Friday – trash, recycling and yard waste
*During the months of May through September, yard waste is collected twice a week, on both
trash and recycling collection days. From October through April, yard waste is collected only on
recycling collection days.
