PROFESSIONAL SERVICE CONTRACT FOR
ARCHITECT/STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING SERVICES
WHEREAS, there exists a need for professional services to evaluate and prepare
a report defining and proposing a mmediation plan for the Carteret Fire House; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:l 1-5 (1) (a) professional services are exempt
from the requirements of competitive bidding; and
WHEREAS, the Local Finance Officer has certified that funds are available..
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret does hereby approve the appointment of Kehrt Shatken
Sharon Architects at a maximum cost not to exceed $18,000.00 billable per
- attached contract.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and Municipal Clerk am hereby
authorized to execute said contract.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the contract is awarded without competitive
bids in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:1i-5 (1) (a) due to the specialized and
professional nature of the services provided.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that a notice of this action shall be published in the
Home News Tribune on February 22, 2000.
Adopted this 17th day of February, 2000
and certified as a true copy of the original
on February 18, 2000.
