January 11th, 2005 — Parks and Recreation Department — 6:00 PM
I. ROLL CALL AND CALL TO ORDER
Kevin Briem, John Rygh, Dave Faurot and Ron Rooth were present, Scotty Davenport
was absent.
II. INTRODUCTION OF GUEST
Shannon Munson, Darion Apollo, Kurt Spalding, Chris Warner and other Bike Path
Committee members
III. OLD BUSINESS
PARKS
a.) Brownsfield Site Assessment Plan
Meeting concluded before discussion.
b.) Riverfront Park.
Jon Rygh informed us of continuous work on the Special Use Permit needed to
acquire the 5 acres of Forest Service Property. Ron Rooth informed the
committee of the meeting with the City Manager to help us what we need to get
started on Riverfront Park. The City Manager suggested that we do an overlay of
available topo map and plot lines maps.
c.) Vacating City Property — 4th and Lenora
Meeting concluded before discussion.
d.) Vacating City Property - Payette View Condominiums
IV. NEW BUSINESS
PARKS
a.) Bike Path Master Plan
Shannon Munson and the Bike Path Committee presented their Master Plan for
Advisory Approval. They asked for support from the Committee and a letter to
present to Council in favor of the new Bike Path Master Plan. They informed the
committee that a map of all current bike paths and future bike paths will be
available by March. The committee will be presented with the final Bike Path
Master Plan at February 8th meeting to make a final recommendation to City
Council.
b.) Winter Carnival — Legacy Park
Quickly informed the committee of the use of Legacy Park for Winter Carnival by
the Chamber of Commerce. They were in favor of seeing the winter carnival
there as long as all safety measures were handled and the Chamber of Commerce
provided the necessary documents for insurance.
All other Agenda items where postponed due to lack of members.
V. SET NEXT MEETING AND AGENDA
Meeting adjourned: 7:30 p.m.
February 8th at 6 p.m. at the McCall Parks and Recreation Department.
