ROLL CALL AND CALL TO ORDER Kevin Briem, Dave Faurot, Jon Rygh and Cynthia Feeley were present. Scotty Davenport and Ron Rooth were absent II. INTRODUCTION OF GUEST Ryan Caudillo Ray Dupree III. OLD BUSINESS PARKS a.) Riverfront Park The Committee would like to invite City Council Member, Arts and Humanities and Heartland Gymnastics to the next meeting to discuss building sizes for potential location at Riverfront Park. We are ready to begin in house Park Design work for Riverfront Park. b.) Special Use Permit β€” Riverfront Park John Rygh and I will finish the Special Use Permit for acquiring the 5 acres from the Forest Service for Riverfront Park and have it turned in before the next meeting. c.) Vacating City Property We have no Vacation of City Property this month. d.) Bike Path Master Plan Kevin Briem made the motion to accept the McCall Bike Path Master Plan that was presented to the Committee last month. Cynthia Feeley seconded the motion. All were in favor of the motion. IV. NEW BUSINESS PARKS a.) Payette Lake Scenic Cruises Special Use Permit Ray Dupree has asked for another Special Use Permit to use the boat launch docks next to Legacy Park for the use of passengers getting on and off for his Scenic Cruises around Payette Lake. Kevin Briem made the motion to accept Ray Dupree's Request and Dave Faurot second the motion and all were in favor. b.) Docks β€”Art Roberts Informed the Committee that the Parks and Recreation Department is looking at using the Dock for fireworks from Chamber of Commerce for Summer Bands located at Art Roberts. We are not sure if we will have time to do this, but it will make a future recreation program for the community and local businesses. c.) Rotary Lawn mower Informed the Committee that we have received our Rotary Lawn Mower and have started using it to remove snow and will use it throughout the summer. RECREATION a.) After School Program The after School Program will begin shortly. We are looking at discontinuing this program because of lack of participants. This may be caused by a variety of After School Programs popping up in the area. b.) Adult Dodge Ba11 Dodge ball will begin shortly. We have three teams now and hope to have more when we begin. c.) Mini Vandals Basketball Clinic Sign ups for the clinic begins this month and we are looking forward to this program. We are adding 3rd grade to this program to try and get more kids and to gradually start to build a program that will help the high school level basketball teams. d.) GPS Course We will start a GPS Course in April. We will be using Tom Walker from LCSC to conduct the Class. e.) Summer Programs We will begin our Summer Activity Guide next month and will have it out the public by April. Ryan Caudillo (Recreation Coordinator) presented to the Committee information about himself and ASA Softball for this summer. He has informed the committee that we have planned on 7 tournaments this summer and will be attending the ASA State Conference in March. V. SET NEXT MEETING AND AGENDA Next Meeting will be March 8th at 6 p.m. at the Parks and Recreation Office. Meeting Adjourned at 7:30 p.m. The City of McCall's Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee meetings are held open to the public and handicapped accessible.
