REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING, JANUARY 16, 2018
CALL TO ORDER
The Regular Council Meeting of January 16, 2018, was convened at 6:00 P.M. by
President Pro Tempore Rick Prather in the absence of Mayor Carrie Tergin.
ROLL CALL
The f ollowing Council Members were present for the roll call:
Present: Fitzwater, Graham, Henry, Hussey, Kemna, Mihalevich, Prather,
Schreiber, Ward, and Wiseman
Absent: None
A quorum was declared present.
ADOPTION OF THE AGENDA
A motion was made by Councilman Graham, seconded by Councilman Mihalevich, to
adopt the agenda. The motion to adopt was approved unanimously.
MISCELLANEOUS AGENDA ITEMS
Steve Crowell, City Administrator and Margie Mueller, Director of Finance and
Information Technology Services presented the January Outstanding Employee Service
Award to Cara Sankey.
PUBLIC HEARINGS
a. Rezoning Property Addressed as 3328 Bennett Lane from RU to PUD, Approval
of a Preliminary and Final PUD Plan and Accepting a Final Subdivision Plat of
Woodland Montessori School Subdivision
i. Associated Pending Bill 2017-110
A staff presentation was made by Senior Planner Eric Barron.
Following the staff presentation, the following persons came forward to speak on
the issue:
Paul Samson spoke in favor of the bill.
At the conclusion of the public testimony, President Pro Tempore Rick Prather
declared the evidentiary portion of the public hearing concluded and stated that
the Council would now take up the associated pending bill.

THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, BY REZONING PROPERTY ADDRESSED AS
3328 BENNETT LANE FROM RU RURAL TO PUD PLANNED UNIT
DEVELOPMENT, APPROVAL OF A PRELIMINARY AND FINAL PUD PLAN
FOR SAID PROPERTY, AND ACCEPTING AND APPROVING THE FINAL

the following roll-call vote as Ordinance 15765:

Announcements and Events
Councilman Schreiber announced the Missouri State Penitentiary Community
Partners Meeting, scheduled for Friday, February 2nd, 8:30 a.m., City Hall,
Boone/Bancroft Room.
Councilman Henry announced the Human Relations Commission Meeting,
scheduled for Tuesday, January 30th, 8:00 a.m., City Hall, Boone/Bancroft Room.
Finance Committee Announcements
The January Finance Committee meeting was cancelled due to the scheduled
auditor’s visit. Packets were distributed today.

CONSENT AGENDA
The following items were brought before the Council for approval by Consent:
a. Minutes of City Council Meetings: January 2, 2018
b. Change Order #2 with M&M Landscaping and Construction, LLC (MMLC) for the
Basin 14 Relief Sewer – West McCarty Project
A motion was made by Councilman Henry to approve the Consent Agenda as
presented, seconded by Councilwoman Wiseman, and approved unanimously.

GENE WISEMAN FOR THE PURCHASE OF LAND FOR A SANITARY SEWER WET
WEATHER STORAGE FACILITY.
