WCAC Meeting Minutes
Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at 6:00 PM
Council Office, 2nd Floor Town Hall
Present: Councillors Michael Dattoli, chair; Aaron Dushku, vice chair; Lisa Feltner, secretary;
Mr Christopher McKenzie, 136 Cypress St
Interview with Christopher McKenzie, candidate for new appointment to Watertown Cable Access
Corporation Board of Directors, to serve term to September 15, 2018.
Candidate will work cooperatively with the School Department to manage a state-of-the-art studio
location at Watertown High School. The Board of Directors will be charged with hiring an Executive
Director and staff that will be in charge of day-to-day management of cable access programming.
Mr. McKenzie was attracted to the position given his many years' experience of teaching film, video
production, editing and history with high-school age to graduate students. He is interested and open to
exploring opportunities to make connections with the schools, and the Arsenal Center for the Arts. He is
also feeling more invested in Watertown, after living here the past several years, and would like to serve
the community through WCAC.
Voted to recommend confirmation of the appointment of Christopher McKenzie, resident, to the full
council.
Interview concluded 6:30PM.
Voted to recommend confirmation of Eileen Hsu -Balzer, school committee member, appointment
through September 15, 2016.
Voted to recommend confirmation of Toni Carlson, school member, reappointment through September
15, 2018.
Adjournment 6:35 PM.
