WHEREAS, during the period prior to July 1, 1954 the
District has been financed through appropriations made by the City
of St. Louis and St. Louis County in the sum of $25,000.00 each,
for the purpose of financing the operations of the District during
the period from the date of its organization to June 30, 1954
inclusive, and there will remain an unexpended balance in each of
said appropriations, which balance will revert to the City and
County respectively,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Chairman of the
Board of Trustees address appropriate letters to the Mayor of the
City of St. Louis, the Comptroller of the City of St. Louis, and
the President of the Board of Alderman of the City of St. Louis,
and to the Supervisor of St. Louis County, and the Auditor of St.
Louis County expressing to them the appreciation of the District
for their cooperation in furnishing such appropriations, and
advising them that the unexpended balance, after the payment of
obligations outstanding on June 30, 1954 is released by the
District to revert to the respective treasuries of the City and
County.
The above Resolution was adopted July 22, 1954.
