HomeMy Public PortalAboutR0019 R E S O L U T I O N NO. 19 WHEREAS, by Section 3.020(7) of the Plan of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, the District is authorized to contract with municipalities, districts, other public agencies, individuals or private corporations, or any of them whether within or without the District, for the construction, use or maintenance of common or joint sewers, drains, outlets and disposal plants, and other services, and, WHEREAS, by Section 3.020(8), the District is further authorized to permit municipalities, districts, other public agencies, individuals or private corporations, or any of them whether within or without the District, to connect with and use the facilities of the District, upon terms to be prescribed by contract, and, WHEREAS, by Section 3.020(19), the District is further empowered to approve, revise or reject the plans and designs of all outfall sewers, trunks, mains, submains, interceptors, lateral sewers, outlets for sewerage, storm water drains, pumping and ventilating stations and disposal and treatment plants, and works proposed to be constructed, altered or reconstructed by any other person or corporation, private or public, in the District; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Executive Director, or any employee deputized by him for such purpose, may, for and in behalf of the District, enter into contracts immediate or subsequent connections with the sewers of the District, as provided in Sections 3.020(7) and (8), provided that (1) such sewers, connections, drains, outlets and disposal plants are so designed and constructed as to conform with general plans of the District, (2) the construction is inspected and approved by the District, (3) such contracts provide for the dedication of the facilities to the District at such time as the District may determine, and (4) that the construction is without cost to the District, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Executive Director shall adopt standards of plans and designs, and shall promulgate rules and regulations prescribing the manner in which approval, revision or rejection of any plans and designs shall be given by the District, as provided in Section 3.020(19).
