HomeMy Public PortalAboutR0034 R E S O L U T I O N NO. 34 WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 33 the Board of Trustees of the District have declared that it is necessary, in the interest of public health, to make an improvement in the Maline Creek Trunk Subdistrict, consisting of a sanitary trunk sewer to extend from the western terminus of the existing trunk sewer now serving the City of Bellefontaine Neighbors in a westerly direction to a point near the western end of the Maline Creek Watershed, such sanitary trunk sewer to be of sufficient size and capacity to provide adequate sanitary sewer service for the estimated ultimate population of the Maline Creek Watershed; and the estimated cost of such improvement is One Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,500,000), to be derived from the sale of general obligation bonds, payable both principal and interest by and from an annual tax on all taxable tangible property within said subdistrict; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT that notice of public hearing, as provided by Section 9.020 of the Plan, be given by publication in Community News-North St. Louis, on October 19th and 26th, November 2nd and 9th, Public News, Berkeley, on October 19th and 26th, November 2nd and 9th, Town Talk, Ferguson, on October 20th and 27th, November 3rd and 10th, St. Louis Globe Democrat, on October 20th and 27th, November 3rd and 10th and St. Louis Post Dispatch, on October 20th and 27th, November 3rd and 10th, newspapers published in the District, such notice to be in the following form: 2 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given that The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District will hold a public hearing at Vogt School Auditorium, 200 Church Street, Ferguson, Missouri, on Monday the 14th day of November, 1955, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., in respect to an improvement in the Maline Creek Trunk Subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, such improvement to consist of a sanitary trunk sewer to be constructed in the Maline Creek Watershed to connect with the western terminus of the trunk sanitary sewer now serving the City of Bellefontaine Neighbors and to extend westwardly therefrom to a point near the western end of said watershed, at an estimated cost of $1,500,000, such sum to be derived from the sale of general obligation bonds, payable both principal and interest from the proceeds of a tax to be levied on all taxable tangible property in the subdistrict. All persons interested in such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard. THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Executive Director shall designate such officers and employees as he may see fit to attend such hearings and report thereon to this Board. The foregoing Resolution was adopted October 17, 1955.
