HomeMy Public PortalAboutR0035 R E S O L U T I O N NO. 35 WHEREAS, George C. Willson has tendered his resignation from the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to the Hon. Mayor of the City of St. Louis, and the Mayor has reluctantly accepted Mr. Willson's resignation; and WHEREAS, this Board wishes to express its deep appreciation to Mr. Willson for his services to the District and the residents of the District as a member and the first Chairman of this Board. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: The Board deeply regrets that the condition of Mr. Willson's health precludes him from continuing to serve on the Board. During the period he served on the Board, he gave unstintedly of his time to the affairs of the District. As the first Chairman of the Board, he led and directed the District through the trying times of its formative period. His sound judgment and realistic approach to the manifold problems, his grasp of and tireless efforts to solve such problems, his patience, tact, foresight and good humor, have been an inspiration to the other members of the Board. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this expression of regret and of our hope for a speedy restoration of his health be forwarded to Mr. Willson. The foregoing Resolution was adopted October 24, 1955.
