HomeMy Public PortalAboutR0046 R E S O L U T I O N NO. 46 WHEREAS, the District has heretofore adopted Ordinance No. 23 establishing Subdistrict Number Two of the River des Peres Watershed of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (Vinita Park) and delineating the boundaries thereof; and WHEREAS, it is the sense of the Board of Trustees of the District that it is necessary in the interest of public health of the District, that improvements be made in the subdistrict established by Ordinance No. 23; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT that an improvement in Subdistrict Number Two of the River des Peres Watershed of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (Vinita Park) is necessary in the interest of public health, and that the improvement shall consist of a system of subtrunk and lateral sanitary sewers to be connected to the upper end of an existing public sewer system of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District in University City which runs along the west edge of the subdivision known as Belmont No. 3. Such sanitary sewer system to be of sufficient size and capacity to provide adequate sanitary sewer services for the established ultimate population of Subdistrict Number Two of the River des Peres Watershed of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (Vinita Park), and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that, based upon the preliminary plans prepared for that purpose available to the Board, and upon the advice of its Executive Director, it is estimated the probable cost of such sanitary trunk sewer will be Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($350,000.00), and that funds to pay for such improvement shall be derived from the sale of general obligation bonds, payable both principal and interest by and from an annual tax on all taxable tangible property within said subdistrict, provided such bonds are authorized by a vote of the registered voters in Subdistrict Number Two of the River des Peres Watershed of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District at an election to be hereafter held for that purpose in accordance with the Plan of the District. The foregoing Resolution was adopted February 20, 1956.
