HomeMy Public PortalAboutR0051 R E S O L U T I O N NO. 51 WHEREAS BY RESOLUTION NO. 50 the Board of Trustees of the District have declared that it is necessary in the interest of public health to make an improvement in the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District consisting of a sanitary trunk sewer connected in the northern terminus of an existing sewer approximately 2,200 feet south of Natural Bridge Avenue, then extending northwardly therefrom down Coldwater Creek Valley to a point near the intersection of Coldwater Creek and New Halls Ferry Road at which point a sanitary treatment facility will be constructed, as a part of said improvement, said sanitary trunk sewer and treatment plant to be of sufficient size and capacity to adequately take care of the estimated ultimate population of the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict; and the estimated cost of such improvement is Four Million Dollars ($4,000,000), to be derived from the sale of general obligation bonds, payable principal and interest by and from an annual tax on all taxable tangible property within said Subdistrict, or from the sale of revenue bonds or such combination of such general obligation bonds and revenue bonds as may be determined. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT that notice of public hearing, as provided in Section 9.020 of the Plan be given by publication in the St. Louis Post Dispatch, March 21, 1956 and March 30, 1956, in Shoppers News, St. Ann, Missouri, on March 28, 1956, and April 4, 1956, in the Florissant Valley Reporter on March 29, 1956 and April 5, 1956, in the Public News of Berkeley on March 28 and April 4, 1956, newspapers published in the District, such notice to be in the following form: 3 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given that The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District will hold a public hearing at Elmgrove Public School, Highway 140 and Taylor Road, Hazelwood, Missouri, on Thursday, April 12, 1956 at 8:00 o'clock P.M. in respect to an improvement in the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, such improvement to consist of a sanitary trunk sewer connected in the northern terminus of an existing sewer approximately 2,200 feet south of Natural Bridge Avenue, then extending northwardly therefrom down Coldwater Creek Valley to a point near the intersection of Coldwater Creek and New Halls Ferry Road at which point a sanitary treatment facility will be constructed, as a part of said improvement, said sanitary trunk sewer and treatment plant to be of sufficient size and capacity to adequately take care of the estimated ultimate population of the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict; and the estimated cost of such improvement is Four Million Dollars ($4,000,000), to be derived from the sale of general obligation bonds, payable principal and interest by and from an annual tax on all taxable tangible property within said Subdistrict, or from the sale of revenue bonds or such combination of such general obligation bonds and revenue bonds as may be determined. All persons interested in such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard. THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT 4 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Executive Director shall designate such officers and employees as he may see fit to attend such hearings and report thereon to this Board. The foregoing Resolution was adopted March 19, 1956.
