WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 46, the Board of Trustees of
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District declared the necessity
of an improvement to be made in Subdistrict Number Two of the
River des Peres Watershed of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District and by Resolution No. 47 said Board directed the
publication of notice of public hearing to be held upon such
improvement and said notices were published in the St. Louis Post
Dispatch on February 24 and on March 2, 1956, and in the St. Louis
Countian on February 23 and March 1, 1956, as more fully appears
by the affidavits of the respective publishers filed with the
District, and the public meeting was held pursuant thereto;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT that pursuant to the
aforesaid hearing, it is hereby found and declared to be in the
public interest that such improvement, consisting of a sanitary
subtrunk sewer with two branch subtrunk sewers extending from the
northern terminus of a trunk sewer in University City to points
near the northern or upper end of the aforesaid Subdistrict be
made; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that pursuant to the aforesaid
hearing, it is not in the public interest to construct lateral
sanitary sewers in said area by this improvement.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted March 26, 1956.
