WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 52, the Board of Trustees of
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has determined to
proceed with the construction of a sanitary subtrunk sewer with
two branch subtrunk sewers extending from the northern terminus of
a trunk sewer in University City to points near the northern or
upper end of Subdistrict Number Two of the River des Peres
Watershed of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that a registration of voters
in said Subdistrict be held.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT that the Board of
Election Commissioners of St. Louis County be requested to conduct
a special registration of voters within said Subdistrict on
Saturday, the 21st day of April, 1956, at The Cecil Ritchey Post
212 American Legion Hall, 2133 North and South Road, in the City
of Vinita Park, for an election to be held on Tuesday, the 29th
day of May, 1956, in said Subdistrict for the purpose of
determining whether or not it is the sense of the voters of such
Subdistrict that an indebtedness in the sum of One Hundred Twenty
Five Thousand Dollars ($125,000.00), be incurred by such
Subdistrict for the purpose of financing the cost of planning,
installing and constructing said sewers; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that notice of such special
registration be published in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch on five
consecutive days, beginning Monday, the 16th day of April and
ending Friday, the 20th day of April, 1956.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted April 9, 1956.
