HomeMy Public PortalAboutR0057 R E S O L U T I O N NO. 57 WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 56 the Board of Trustees of the District have declared that it is necessary, in the interest of public health, to make an improvement in Subdistrict Number Four of the River des Peres Watershed of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District consisting of a system of trunk and subtrunk sanitary sewers to be connected to an existing sanitary trunk sewer of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, and such system of trunk and subtrunk sanitary sewers to be of sufficient size and capacity to provide adequate sanitary sewer service for the estimated ultimate population of Subdistrict Number Four of the River des Peres Watershed of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; and the estimated cost of such improvement is One Hundred Seventy Five Thousand Dollars ($175,000.00), to be derived from the sale of general obligation bonds, payable both principal and interest by and from an annual tax on all taxable tangible property within said subdistrict; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT that notice of public hearing, as provided by Section 9.020 of the Plan, be given by publication in the St. Louis Post Dispatch on May 4, 1956 and on May 11, 1956, and in the South St. Louis County News on May 9, 1956 and on May 16, 1956, newspapers published in the District, such notice to be in the following form: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given that The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District will hold a public hearing in the gymnasium of the Affton Junior High School, 8520 McKenzie Road, St. Louis County, Missouri, on the 22nd day of May, 1956, at 8:00 o'clock P.M. in respect to an improvement in Subdistrict Number Four of the River des Peres Watershed of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District. Such improvement to consist of a system of trunk and subtrunk sanitary sewers to be connected to an existing sanitary trunk sewer of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and such system of trunk and subtrunk sanitary sewers to be of sufficient size and capacity to provide adequate sanitary sewer service for the estimated ultimate population of Subdistrict Number Four of the River Des Peres Watershed of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the estimated cost of such improvement is One Hundred Seventy Five Thousand Dollars ($175,000.00), to be derived from the sale of general obligation bonds payable both principal and interest from the proceeds of a tax to be levied on all taxable tangible property in the subdistrict. All persons interested in such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard. THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Executive Director shall designate such officers and employees as he may see fit to attend such hearings and report thereon to this Board. 3 The foregoing Resolution was adopted April 30, 1956.
