WHEREAS, JOHN M. BOGDANOR, one of the original Trustees
of the District, has tendered his resignation as Trustee to the
County Supervisor, and the County Supervisor has accepted the same
with expressions of deep regret; and
WHEREAS, the Trustees of the District feel that it is
fitting and proper that recognition of Mr. Bogdanor's services to
the District be given, NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District that the District hereby
acknowledges its debt of gratitude to Mr. Bogdanor for his
services to the District. Mr. Bogdanor brought to the District a
knowledge of the problems of the District and a comprehension of
the difficulties with which it would be confronted that were of
inestimable value in solving such problems and meeting and
overcoming such difficulties. He served as Chairman of the board
of Trustees for a period of over fifteen months with skill and
distinction. During his trusteeship he gave unstintingly of his
time and by his unfailing cheerfulness, energy and judgment
afforded an example to the Board and to the employees of the
District. His insistence on the early assumption by the District
of all of the functions for which it was formed was an inspiration
to the other Trustees and to the District staff, without which
such assumption of functions could not have been accomplished.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution
be forwarded to Mr. Bogdanor.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted August 13, 1956.
