HomeMy Public PortalAboutR0085REPEALED BY RESOLUTION NO. 138 - SEE NO. 140 R E S O L U T I O N NO. 85 WHEREAS, The Board of Trustees has received a petition from property owners on a portion of Rock Hill Road, Wilshire Terrace, Central Avenue and Reavis Avenue in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri, not included in any subdistrict, for the construction of a sanitary trunk line sewer to serve such area; and WHEREAS, investigation has shown the necessity for such improvement by reason of the fact that said area is now served by septic tanks, which are inefficient in such a congested area and the surrounding territory; and WHEREAS, it has been estimated that the probable cost of such sewer will be $5,000.00 and that the most practicable method of payment therefor is by special tax bills, or other evidence of special benefit assessments upon the real property included in such area; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT that a special benefit subdistrict to be known as Special Benefit Subdistrict No. 18 (Wilshire Terrace) of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District be and the same is hereby created for the purpose of constructing a sanitary trunk line sewer in the area on Rock Hill Road, Wilshire Terrace, Central Avenue and Reavis Avenue in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri, said subdistrict to be described as follows: 2 Beginning at the point of intersection of the centerline of Rock Hill Road with the southwestward prolongation of the southern line of Wilshire Terrace Subdivision, a subdivision in the City of Webster Groves, St. Louis County, Mo., as recorded in plat book 34, page 47 in the St. Louis County Recorder's Office; thence northeastwardly along said southern line of Wilshire Terrace Subdivision to the easternmost corner of said subdivision; thence northwestwardly along the northeastern line of said Wilshire Terrace Subdivision to the northernmost corner of said subdivision; thence southwestwardly along the northwestern line of said Wilshire Terrace Subdivision to the easternmost corner of Lot 7 of Block 3 of Shadyside Heights Subdivision as recorded on page 92 of plat book 2 in the St. Louis County Recorder's Office, said point also falling on the district line of the Webster Groves Sanitary Sewer District; thence northwestwardly and southwestwardly along said Webster Groves Sanitary Sewer District line to its point of intersection with the eastern line of Rock Hill Road, said point being also the point of intersection of the northwest line of Block B of Reavis Place Subdivision, as recorded on page 54 of plat book 6 in the St. Louis County Recorder's Office, with the eastern line of Rock Hill Road; thence southwestwardly along the prolongation of said northwest line of Block B to its point of intersection with the centerline 3 of Rock Hill Road; thence southwardly along the centerline of Rock Hill Road to its point of intersection with the northeastward prolongation of the centerline of Vira Ave. thence southwestwardly along said prolongation and along the centerline of Vira Ave. to its point of intersection with the westward prolongation of the southern line of Lot 16 of Big Bend Park Subdivision as recorded on page 135 of plat book 8 in the St. Louis County Records; thence eastwardly along said westward prolongation and said southern line of Lot 16 to the northeastern corner of Lot 17 of said Big Bend Park Subdivision; thence southwardly along the eastern line of Lots 17, 18, 19, and 20 of said Big Bend Park Subdivision and the prolongation of said line to the point of intersection of the said prolonged line with the northern line of Webster Downs Addition Subdivision as recorded on page 39 of plat book 54 in the St. Louis County Recorder's Office; thence eastwardly along the aforesaid line and its prolongation eastwardly to its point of intersection with the centerline of said Rock Hill Road, thence southeastwardly along the centerline of said Rock Hill Road to the point of beginning. Such sewer to be connected with a certain existing public sewer of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that special benefit assessments be levied against all real property within the boundaries hereinbefore delineated in the proportion that the area 4 each parcel of real property bears to the entire area exclusive of public roads, streets and alleys within the boundaries of the special benefit subdistrict; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held in said Special Benefit Subdistrict No. 18 at such time and place as the Executive Director shall determine, and that notice of such hearing be given by the posting of notices in not less than three public places within the boundaries of the proposed benefit subdistrict, for the purpose of determining whether or not it is in the public interest that such improvement, or any part thereof, be made. 5 The foregoing Resolution was adopted September 10, 1956.
