WHEREAS, the Board has received a petition from
property owners on a portion of Hampton Avenue, in the City of St.
Louis, not included in any subdistrict for the construction of
sewers to serve such area; and
WHEREAS, investigation has shown the necessity for such
improvement by reason of the fact that said area is not now served
by sewers; and
WHEREAS, it has been estimated that the probable cost
of the installation of such combined sewers will be $23,000.00 and
that the most practicable method of payment therefor is by special
tax bills, or other evidence of special benefit assessments upon
the real property included in such area;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that a special benefit
subdistrict to be known as Special Benefit Subdistrict No. 24 of
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District be and the same is
hereby created for the purpose of constructing sewers in a portion
of Hampton Avenue, in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, said
subdistrict to be described as follows:
Beginning at a point which is the intersection of the centerlines
of Hampton Avenue (of variable width) and Elizabeth Avenue
(40 feet wide); thence eastwardly along centerline of
Elizabeth Avenue (40 feet wide) to its intersection with the
west line of City Block No. 4646 prolonged southwardly,
aforesaid centerline being 20 feet south and parallel to
existing north line of aforesaid Elizabeth Avenue; thence

northwardly along aforesaid prolongation and west line of
City Block 4646 to an intersection of the easterly
prolongation of the most southerly boundary line of a tract
of land now or formerly owned by Minneapolis Honeywell
Regulator Company; thence westwardly along aforesaid
prolongation to the intersection of the most easterly
boundary line of said property and also being the most
southeastwardly corner thereof; thence northwardly along the
most eastwardly boundary of aforesaid property 125.0 feet to
a point in the north line of aforesaid property and also
being the most northeasterly corner thereof; thence
northwardly along a line parallel to the west line of City
Block 4646 to an intersection with the centerline of Wilson
Avenue (40 feet wide); thence westwardly along aforesaid
centerline of Wilson Avenue to an intersection with the
centerline of Hampton Avenue (80 feet wide); thence
southwardly along centerline of Hampton Avenue to the point
of beginning.
Such sewers to be connected with a certain existing public sewer
of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that special benefit
assessments be levied against all real property within the
boundaries hereinbefore delineated in the proportion that the area
each parcel of real property bears to the entire area exclusive of
public streets, roads and alleys with within the boundaries of the

Special Benefit Subdistrict; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held
within said Special Benefit Subdistrict No. 24 at such time and
place as the Executive Director shall determine, and that notice
of such hearing be given by the posting of notices in not less
than three public places within the boundaries of the proposed
Special Benefit Subdistrict for the purpose of determining whether
or not it is in the public interest that such improvement, or any
part thereof, be made.
