WHEREAS, there exist within The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District and within the City of St. Louis certain sewers
hereinafter described which are in such condition as to be
acceptable to the District for public operation and maintenance,
and which it is desirable for the District to operate and maintain
and,
WHEREAS, the District by Ordinance Number 88, adopted
the 16th day of July, 1956, is authorized to assume title to any
or all sewers, easements and appurtenances by resolution whenever,
in the opinion of counsel, no person competent to convey title can
be found, and upon recommendation of the Executive Director that
the District should assume title to such sewers, and
WHEREAS, the General Counsel has given his opinion that
no person can be found who is competent to convey title to the
hereinafter described sewers, and the Executive Director
recommends that the District should assume title to such sewers,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that title to the
following described sewers and their appurtenances in the City of
St. Louis be and are hereby assumed by The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District for public use, operation and maintenance:
1. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 45392,
lying in the alley running through City Block 6253, and extending
from the centerline of a walk separating said block from City
Block 6283 to a manhole on or near the east line of Sulphur
Avenue.
2. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 45392,
lying in Winona Avenue and extending from Sulphur Avenue east to
the centerline projected northwardly of a walk separating City
Block 6283 from City Block 6253.
3. That sewer constructed under Permit Nos. 44194 and
43381, lying in Chippewa Street between January Avenue and a
manhole in Sulphur Avenue.
4. That sewer constructed under Permit Nos. 44591 and
45392 lying in an alley in City Blocks 6255 and 6260 and extending
from January Avenue to a point 119 feet 4-1/4 inches more or less
west of Sulphur Avenue.
5. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 45028 and
lying in Lindenwood Avenue and extending from a point near January
Avenue to Sulphur Avenue.
6. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 45028 and
lying in an alley in City Block 6256 and extending from a point
near January Avenue to Sulphur Avenue.
7. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 45392 and
lying in Mardel Avenue and extending from a point near January
Avenue to Sulphur Avenue.
8. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 45392 and
lying in an alley in City Block 6257 and extending from a point
near January Avenue to Sulphur Avenue.
9. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 45392 and
lying in Tholozan Avenue and extending from a point near January
Avenue to Sulphur Avenue.
10. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 47490 and

lying in an alley in City Block 6258 and extending from a point
near January Avenue to its connection with a 9 foot reinforced
concrete sewer in said block.
11. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 45392 and
lying in an alley in City Blocks 6258 and 6259 and extending from
a point approximately 113 feet west of Sulphur Avenue to a point
approximately 227 feet east of Sulphur Avenue.
12. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 43391 and
lying in Sulphur Avenue and extending from Chippewa Street to an
alley between Tholozan Avenue and Pernod Avenue.
