HomeMy Public PortalAboutR0158 R E S O L U T I O N NO. 158 WHEREAS, the Board has received a petition from property owners in the area of Dana Avenue and Felicia Avenue, St. Louis County, Missouri, for the construction of sanitary sewers to serve such area; and WHEREAS, investigation has shown the necessity for such improvement by reason of the fact that said area is not now served by sewers; and WHEREAS, it has been estimated that the probable cost of the installation of such sanitary sewers will be approximately Twenty-two Thousand Dollars ($22,000.00), and that the most practicable method of payment therefor is by special tax bills, or other evidence of special benefit assessments upon the real property which shall be found to be benefitted by such improvement; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that a special benefit subdistrict to be known as Special Benefit Subdistrict No. 41 of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District be and the same is hereby created for the purpose of constructing sanitary sewers in the area of Dana Avenue and Felicia Avenue in St. Louis County, Missouri, said subdistrict to be described as follows: Beginning at a point, said point being the northeast corner of Lot 1 of Dana Ridge Subdivision as recorded in Plat Book 45 on Page 37 of the St. Louis County Records; thence westwardly along the north line of said Lot 1 and Lots 2 through 5 of said Dana Ridge Subdivision to the northwest corner of said Lot 5; thence southwardly along the west line of Lot 6 through 9 of said subdivision to the southwest corner of said Lot 9; thence eastwardly along the south line of Lot 10 of said subdivision to the southeast corner of said Lot 10; thence northwardly along the east line of said Lot 10 to its intersection with the south line of Wilma Drive (50 feet wide); thence eastwardly along the south line of said Wilma Drive to its intersection with the west line of Dana Road; thence northwardly along the west line of Dana Road to the northeast corner of Lot 1 of said Dana Ridge Subdivision; the point of beginning. Such sewers to be connected with a certain existing public sewer of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that special benefit assessments be levied against all real property which shall be found to be benefitted by the said construction in the proportion that the area each such parcel of real property bears to the entire benefitted area exclusive of public streets, roads and alleys within the said benefitted area; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held within said Special Benefit Subdistrict No. 41 at such time and place as the Executive Director shall determine for the purpose of determining whether or not it is in the public interest that such improvement, or any part thereof, be made, and that notice of such hearing be given by the posting of notices in not less than three public places within the boundaries of the proposed special benefit subdistrict. 3 The foregoing Resolution was adopted January 27, 1958.
