WHEREAS, J. E. Williams, Jr. has tendered his
resignation from the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to the County Supervisor of St. Louis County,
after four years of service; and
WHEREAS, this Board wishes to express its appreciation
to Mr. Williams for his services to the District as an original
member and the most recent Chairman of this Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
The Board deeply regrets that the demands of Mr.
Williams' business preclude him from continuing to serve on the
Board.
During the years he served on the Board, he gave
unstintingly of his time to the affairs of the District. As
Chairman of the Board, he led and directed the District through
the expanded activities of the current fiscal year. His judgment
and approach to the manifold problems and his tireless efforts to
solve such problems have been an inspiration to the other members
of the Board.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this expression
of regret and of our thanks for a job well done be forwarded to
Mr. Williams.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted May 9, 1958.
