WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 219, adopted August 11, 1958,
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District authorized and directed
the execution of an assurance of its cooperation in the
Mississippi River flood protection project in the St. Louis area,
which was subsequently given, and
WHEREAS, in the extending of its cooperation this
District finds it necessary to require all future sewer
construction, both sanitary and storm water, to take into
consideration the construction by the United States of such flood
protection facilities in the design and construction of all
affected sewers;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT that the design and
construction of all sanitary and storm water sewers within the
area of the flood plains protected by the Mississippi River flood
protection project in the St. Louis area shall provide for their
functioning in coordination with the said project at all river
stages up to the said project's design flood, and that this
Resolution be taken as notice thereof.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted on February 12, 1959.
