WHEREAS, public sewers now in operation lie in sewer
easements in strips of ground in City Block 3998 E of the City of
St. Louis, and known as the Tower Grove Storm Sewer Right-of-Way
and the River des Peres Storm Sewer Right-of-Way, and
WHEREAS, the owner of the land in which such sewers lie
has requested permission to construct a building over a concrete
slab located in said easement strips and over said sewers and
examination of the plans and specifications of such proposed
building shows that it would not damage the existing sewers,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Executive
Director be and he is hereby authorized and directed to license
the aforesaid encroachment on said easement strips, subject to
revocation whenever it reasonably appears that the public interest
would be served by such revocation, provided that the right of the
District to use the easement strips is preserved, and under
suitable indemnity provisions.
The foregoing Resolution was passed June 11, 1959.
