HomeMy Public PortalAboutR0282 R E S O L U T I O N NO. 282 WHEREAS, there exist within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and within the City of St. Louis certain sewers hereinafter described which are in such condition as to be acceptable to the District for public operation and maintenance, and which it is desirable for the District to operate and maintain, and, WHEREAS, the District by Ordinance Number 88, adopted the 16th day of July, 1956, is authorized to assume title to any or all sewers, easements and appurtenances by Resolution whenever, in the opinion of counsel, no person competent to convey title can be found, and upon recommendation of the Executive Director that the District should assume title to such sewers, and WHEREAS, the General Counsel has given his opinion that no person can be found who is competent to convey title to the hereinafter described sewers, and the Executive Director recommends that the District should assume title to such sewers, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that title to the following described sewers and their appurtenances in the City of St. Louis be and are hereby assumed by The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District for public use, operation and maintenance: 1. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 70980 and lying in the northeast-southwest public alley in City Block 4444 and extending from a sewer in Ashland Avenue northeastwardly in said alley a distance of approximately 184 feet. 2. That sewer lying in Greer Avenue and extending from Newstead Avenue to the northeast-southwest alley in City Block 3618, and lying in the southeast side of said alley between Greer Avenue and Elmbank Avenue. 3. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 43843 and lying in Labadie Avenue and extending from Newstead Avenue northwestwardly approximately 138 feet. 4. That 12 inch diameter pipe sewer constructed under Permit No. 86765 and lying in a 7.5 foot right-of-way in City Block 4465 (Storbeck Subdivision) and extending from the east-west alley therein southwestwardly a distance of approximately 250 feet. 5. Those sewers constructed under Permits No. 86369 and 71819 and lying in the northeast-southwest alley in City Block 4467 E. 6. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 103433 and lying in Whittier Street between Ashland Avenue and Labadie Avenue. 3 The foregoing Resolution was passed on January 28, 1960.
