HomeMy Public PortalAboutR0318 R E S O L U T I O N NO. 318 WHEREAS BY RESOLUTION NO. 317 the Board of Trustees of the District have declared that it is necessary in the interest of public health to make an improvement in the Gravois Creek Trunk Subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District consisting of a sanitary trunk sewer system extending from the eastern terminus of an existing trunk sewer of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District near the intersection of Leffingwell St. and the St. Louis San Francisco Railroad right-of-way, then extending eastwardly therefrom down the Gravois Creek valley and the River des Peres valley to a point near the intersection of the River des Peres and the Mississippi River. Such sanitary trunk sewer system to be of sufficient size and capacity to provide adequate sanitary sewer service for the estimated ultimate population of the Gravois Creek Trunk Subdistrict; and the estimated cost of such improvement is Four Million Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($4,750,000.00), to be derived from the sale of general obligation bonds, payable principal and interest by and from an annual tax on all taxable tangible property within said subdistrict. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT that notice of public hearing, as provided in Section 9.020 of the Plan be given by publication in the St. Louis Post Dispatch and the St. Louis Globe Democrat, July 15, 1960, newspapers published in the District, such notice to be in the following form: 2 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given that The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District will hold a public hearing at the Lindbergh High School, 4900 South Lindbergh Blvd., St. Louis County 26, Missouri, on Monday, July 25, 1960 at 8:00 o'clock P.M., in respect to an improvement in the Gravois Creek Trunk Subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, such improvement to consist of a sanitary trunk sewer system extending from the eastern terminus of an existing trunk sewer of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District near the intersection of Leffingwell St. and the St. Louis San Francisco Railroad right-of-way, then extending eastwardly there from down the Gravois Creek valley and the River des Peres valley to a point near the intersection of the River des Peres and the Mississippi River. Such sanitary trunk sewer system to be of sufficient size and capacity to provide adequate sanitary sewer service for the estimated ultimate population of the Gravois Creek Trunk Subdistrict; and the estimated cost of such improvement is Four Million Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($4,750,000.00), to be derived from the sale of general obligation bonds, payable principal and interest by and from an annual tax on all taxable tangible property within said Subdistrict. All persons interested in such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard. By order of the Board of Trustees of THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT this 14th day of July, 1960.
