WHEREAS, The Metropolitan St Louis Sewer District has
applied to the Housing and Home Finance Agency of the United
States Government for an Urban Planning Grant in the count of One
Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars ($160,000.00) to aid in providing
planning assistance under the provisions of Section 701 of the
Housing Act of 1959 to the City and County of St. Louis, and
WHEREAS, the Federal Act provides for equal matching
contributions or grants by the applicant in the form of cash or
services furnished,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT that the District has
available funds from the unappropriated surplus of the District,
together with monies appropriated for certain services sufficient
to match the total requirements of matching contributions for said
Urban Planning Grant, designated Project No. Mo. P-2, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees
hereby go on record as agreeing to appropriate the necessary
matching funds to supply cash and services matching grants, should
the Federal Government approve the Urban Planning Grant for the
District in the amount of One Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars
($160,000.00) to aid in the storm water planning for The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District area.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted June 15, 1961.
