WHEREAS, the Honorable John E. Clark, Secretary-
Treasurer of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, died on
October 26, 1961 in his sixtieth year, and
WHEREAS, said John E. Clark was appointed Secretary-
Treasurer of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District on November
1, 1954 and served with distinction until the date of his death,
and
WHEREAS, his aid to the Board and his guidance in the
affairs of the District during its trying formative period have
been invaluable. His unstinting efforts and untiring work even
through severe illness have been an inspiration to this Board and
to all who worked with him. His cheerfulness and calm reliability
during this time of close association will always be remembered.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the sympathies of
each member of this Board of Trustees be extended to the
deceased's widow, Genevieve Clark, and to his family; that this
Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this Board and copies
hereof be forwarded to his widow, Genevieve Clark and his family;
and that the Board members stand in one minute of silence in honor
and respect to the memory of John E. Clark.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted November 20, 1961.
