HomeMy Public PortalAboutR0523 R E S O L U T I O N NO. 523 WHEREAS, there exist within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and within the City of St. Louis certain sewers hereinafter described which are in such condition as to be acceptable to the District for public operation and maintenance, and which it is desirable for the District to operate and maintain, and WHEREAS, the District by Ordinance Number 88, adopted the 16th day of July, 1956, is authorized to assume title to any or all sewers, easements and appurtenances by resolution whenever, in the opinion of counsel, no person competent to convey title can be found, and upon recommendation of the Executive Director that the District should assume title to such sewers, and WHEREAS, the General Counsel has given his opinion that no person can be found who is competent to convey title to the hereinafter described sewers and the Executive Director recommends that the District should assume title to such sewers, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that title to the following described sewers and their appurtenances in the City of St. Louis be and are hereby assumed by The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District for public use, operation and maintenance: 1. That sewer constructed under Permit No 37428 and lying in the east-west alley in City Block 6233 between Tamm Avenue and Clifton Avenue. 2. That sewer lying in the southern east-west alley in City Block 6126 between Childress Avenue and Tamm Avenue. 2 3. That sewer lying in the northern east-west alley in City Block 6126 between Childress Avenue and Tamm Avenue. 4. That sewer constructed under Permit No 23557 and lying in the north side of Pernod Avenue between Childress Avenue and the north-south alley in City Block 6000. 5. Those sewers constructed under Permit No. 23557 and lying in the east-west alleys in City Blocks 6000 and 6001, and extending from Clifton Avenue across Tamm Avenue to the north- south alley in City Block 6000, and also lying in the east side of Tamm Avenue and extending from Pernod Avenue to Oleatha Avenue. 6. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 23557 and lying in the west side of the north-south alleys in City Blocks 5998, 5999 and 6000 and extending from Marquette Avenue across Potomac Street and Oleatha Avenue to Pernod Avenue, and also a portion thereof lying in Potomac Street and extending from Watson Road eastwardly approximately 140 feet. 7. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 23557 and lying in the east-west alleys in City Blocks 5999 and 6002, and extending from Clifton Avenue across Tamm Avenue to the north- south alley in City Block 5999, and also a portion thereof lying in Tamm Avenue and extending from Potomac Street south to the east-west alley in City Block 6002. 8. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 23557 and lying in the east-west alleys in City Blocks 5998 and 6003, and extending from Clifton Avenue and across Tamm Avenue to the north- south alley in City Block 5998, and also a portion thereof lying 3 in Tamm Avenue and extending from Marquette Avenue to the east- west alley in City Block 6003. The foregoing Resolution was adopted May 7, 1962.
