WHEREAS, by Ordinance No 557, adopted May 18, 1961, the
Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District
created Subdistrict No. 140 (Larkin and Olive Street Road) and by
Resolution No. 553 adopted July 30, 1962, and repealing Resolution
No. 419, redeclared the necessity of an improvement to be made in
said subdistrict to be paid for by special tax bills or other
evidence of special benefit assessments to be levied on the land
benefitted, and directed that a second public hearing be held in
respect to such improvement, and
WHEREAS, adequate notice of a second public hearing in
respect to said improvement in said subdistrict was given, and
WHEREAS, said second public hearing was held not less
than ten nor more than thirty days after the adoption of
Resolution No. 553, to wit: On Monday August 13, 1962, at Spoede
School, 425 No. Spoede Road, St. Louis County, Missouri, at which
hearing all persons interested in such improvement were afforded
an additional opportunity to be heard, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees has considered the
statements made at said hearing, as well as the results of a
preliminary engineering survey and other pertinent facts, and has
found that it is a practicable proposal to construct adequate
sewers to serve all of the land in said subdistrict,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT that the Board of
Trustees hereby finds and determines that it is in the public
interest than such improvement be made and further determines to
proceed with such improvement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a previous Resolution No.
444 to the same effect be and it is hereby superseded. The foregoing Resolution was adopted August 24, 1962.
