HomeMy Public PortalAboutR0568 R E S O L U T I O N NO. 568 WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 567, the Board of Trustees of the District have declared that it is necessary in the interest of public health to make improvements in the Mississippi River Subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District consisting of a system of sanitary interceptor sewers and sewage disposal and treatment plants and works for said subdistrict. Such sewage disposal and treatment plants and works and sanitary interceptor sewers to be of sufficient size and capacity to provide sanitary sewage disposal and treatment facilities for the estimated ultimate population of the Mississippi River Subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; and the estimated cost of such improvement is Ninety Five Million Dollars ($95,000,000.00), to be derived from the sale of general obligation bonds, payable principal and interest by and from an annual tax on all taxable tangible property within said subdistrict. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT that notice of public hearing, as provided in Section 9.020 of the Plan be given by publication in the St. Louis Post Dispatch and the St. Louis Globe Democrat, newspapers published in the District, on September 14, 1962, such notice to be in the following form: 2 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given that The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District will hold a public hearing at the University City Senior High School Auditorium, 7401 Balson Avenue, University City, Missouri, on Wednesday, September 26, 1962 at 8:00 o'clock P.M., in respect to an improvement in the Mississippi River Subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, such improvement to consist of a system of sanitary interceptor sewers and sewage disposal and treatment plants and works for said subdistrict. Such sewage disposal and treatment plants and works and sanitary interceptor sewers to be of sufficient size and capacity to provide sanitary sewage disposal and treatment facilities or the estimated ultimate population of the Mississippi River Subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; and the estimated cost of such improvement is Ninety Five Million Dollars ($95,000,000.00), to be derived from the sale of general obligation bonds, payable principal and interest by and from an annual tax on all taxable tangible property within said subdistrict. All persons interested in such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard. By order of the Board of Trustees of THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT this 10th day of September, 1962 CHARLES CLARDY, Secretary-Treasurer 3 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Executive Director shall designate such officers and employees as he may see fit to attend such hearings and report thereon to this Board. The foregoing Resolution was adopted September 10, 1962.
