HomeMy Public PortalAboutR0579 R E S O L U T I O N NO. 579 WHEREAS, there exist within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and within the City of St. Louis certain sewers hereinafter described which are in such condition as to be acceptable to the District for public operation and maintenance, and which it is desirable for the District to operate and maintain, and WHEREAS, the District by Ordinance Number 88, adopted on the 16th day of July, 1956, is authorized to assume title to any or all sewers, easements and appurtenances by resolution whenever, in the opinion of counsel, no person competent to convey title can be found, and upon recommendation of the Executive Director that the District should assume title to such sewers, and WHEREAS, the General Counsel has given his opinion that no person can be found who is competent to convey title to the hereinafter described sewers and the Executive Director recommends that the District should assume title to such sewers, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that title to the following described sewers and their appurtenances in the City of St. Louis be and are hereby assumed by The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District for public use, operation and maintenance: 1. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 13427 and lying in the east-west alley in City Blocks 5831 and 5833 and extending from January Avenue to the north-south alley in City Block 5831. 2. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 27632 and lying in Rhodes Avenue and extending from Macklind Avenue eastwardly a distance of approximately 570 feet. 3. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 11751 and lying in the alley in City Block 5840 and extending from Macklind Avenue to January Avenue. 4. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 11025 and lying in Holly Hills Avenue and extending from the north-south alley in City Block 5829 westwardly a distance of approximately 150 feet. 5. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 11751 and lying in the east-west alley in City Block 5839 and extending from Macklind Avenue to January Avenue. 6. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 11024 and lying in Finkman Avenue and extending from Kingshighway Boulevard westwardly a distance of approximately 510 feet. 7. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 23854 and lying in the alley in City Block 6041 and extending from Macklind Avenue westwardly to the 10 foot walkway therein. 8. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 23854 and lying in the east-west alley in City Block 6042, and extending from Macklind Avenue to January Avenue. 9. Those sewers constructed under Permit No. 12140 and lying in the east-west alleys in City Blocks 5764 and 5765 and extending from Macklind Avenue to the north-south alley in said City Blocks. 10. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 12140 and lying in a five (5) foot wide easement strip in City Blocks 5764 3 and 5765 and extending from Gresham Avenue to Loughborough Avenue. 11. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 90586 and lying in the east-west and north-south alleys in City Block 5567. 12. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 90586 and lying in the east-west and north-south alleys in City Block 5566. 13. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 90586 and lying in the east-west alley in City Block 5564 and extending from Elmer Avenue across Tyrolean Avenue and in the east-west alley in City Block 5563 to Macklind Avenue. 14. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 90586 and lying in the east-west alley in City Block 5563 and extending from the north-south alley therein to Macklind Avenue. 15. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 12140 and lying in Loughborough Avenue and extending from Schollmeyer Avenue southeastwardly approximately 125 feet, and northwardly in a five (5) foot wide right of way to an alley in City Block 5766, and eastwardly in such alley and both its eastwardly branches to Macklind Avenue, together with an easement for sewer purposes over such right of way and alleys. The foregoing Resolution was adopted October 15, 1962.
