HomeMy Public PortalAboutR0588 R E S O L U T I O N NO. 588 WHEREAS, there exist within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and within the City of St. Louis certain sewers hereinafter described which are in such condition as to be acceptable to the District for public operation and maintenance, and which it is desirable for the District to operate and maintain, and WHEREAS, the District by Ordinance No. 88, adopted on the 16th day of July, 1956, is authorized to assume title to any or all sewers, easements and appurtenances by resolution whenever, in the opinion of counsel, no person competent to convey title can be found, and upon recommendation of the Executive Director that the District should assume title to such sewers, and WHEREAS, the General Counsel has given his opinion that no person can be found who is competent to convey title to the hereinafter described sewers and the Executive Director recommends that the District should assume title to such sewers, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that title to the following described sewers and their appurtenances in the City of St. Louis be and are hereby assumed by The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District for public use, operation and maintenance. 1. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 16575 and lying in the eastern side of Clara Avenue and extending from Ashland Avenue to the east-west alley lying between Palm Street and Natural Bridge Avenue. 2. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 20671 and lying in the west side of Clara Avenue and extending from a point in Natural Bridge Avenue southwardly to the east-west alley in City Block 5239. 3. Those sewers constructed under Permit No. 28885 and lying in Ashland, Blackstone and Hebert Streets between Clara Avenue and Goodfellow Boulevard, together with an easement for sewer purposes over such streets, and that sewer lying in the right-of-way, five (5) feet wide and extending from Hebert Street northwardly to the east-west alley in City Block 4360. The foregoing Resolution was adopted November 8, 1962.
