WHEREAS, a public sewer now in operation lies in an
easement 12 feet wide in the former north-south alley in City
Block 268 of the City of St. Louis, Missouri, which alley was
vacated by Ordinance 51518 of said City, reserving an easement for
sewer purposes to this District, and
WHEREAS, the owner of the land in which such sewer lies
has requested permission to permit the encroachment of a building
across said easement, and examination and survey of such sewer and
of such building shows that it will not damage the existing sewers
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Executive
Director be and he is hereby authorized and directed to license
the aforesaid encroachment on said easement, provided that the
right of the District to use the easement is preserved, and under
suitable indemnity provisions.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted December 20, 1962.
