WHEREAS, the District is holding in the Improvement
Fund $5,121.42 received from the now dissolved Carsonville Sewer
District to apply to the entire cost of Subdistrict No. 182
(Hanley and Cler), and which has been appropriated for such use
for sanitary sewer improvements within the former boundaries of
said dissolved sewer district, and
WHEREAS, the sewers in Subdistrict No. 182 have all
been constructed at a total cost of $19,082.42, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees, by Ordinance No. 859,
has ordered tax bills in the total sum of $13,961.00 to be issued
to supplement the payment for the construction of sanitary sewers
in such subdistrict,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT that the use of the
$5,121.42 from the now dissolved Carsonville Sewer District to aid
in the construction of sanitary sewers in Subdistrict No. 182
(Hanley and Cler) is necessary and is in the interest of the
public health; that the improvement, consisting of sanitary sewers
and appurtenances within said subdistrict, described in Resolution
Nos. 503 and 519, all lie within the boundary of the former
Carsonville Sewer District; that the total cost thereof is
$19,082.42; and that the entire amount of such $5,121.42 held in
the improvement Fund and standing appropriated for the purpose by
provision of Ordinance No. 337 shall be applied to the cost of
construction of such sewers, the balance of such cost being paid
by tax bills as authorized by Ordinance No. 859.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted December 20, 1962.
