HomeMy Public PortalAboutR0646 R E S O L U T I O N NO. 646 WHEREAS, there exist within Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and within the City of St. Louis certain sewers hereinafter described which are in such condition as to be acceptable to the District for public operation and maintenance, and which it is desirable for the District to operate and maintain, and WHEREAS, the District by Ordinance No. 88, adopted the 16th day of July, 1956, is authorized to assume title to any or all sewers, easements and appurtenances by Resolution whenever, in the opinion of counsel, no person competent to convey title can be found, and upon recommendation of the Executive Director that the District should assume title to such sewers, and WHEREAS, the General Counsel has given his opinion that no person can be found who is competent to convey title to the hereinafter described sewers and the Executive Director recommends that the District should assume title to such sewers, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that title to the following described sewers and their appurtenances in the City of St. Louis be and are hereby assumed by The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District for public use, operation and maintenance: 1. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 75937 and lying in the alley in City Block 2739. 2. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 75937 and lying in the alley in City Block 2740 and lying in Idaho Avenue and extending from such alley northwardly to Taft Avenue. 3. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 35808 and lying in Bingham Avenue and extending southeastwardly from Grand Avenue a distance of approximately 470 feet. 4. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 69776 and lying in Meramec Street and extending eastwardly from Louisiana Avenue a distance of approximately 170 feet. 5. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 30960 and lying in the east side of Virginia Avenue and extending from Meramec Street southwardly a distance of approximately 350 feet. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 7, 1963. - 2 -
