WHEREAS, there has been some question regarding the
requirement of public hearings regarding the increase of the sewer
service charge authorized by the Plan, and
WHEREAS, the Plan of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District does not require any hearings regarding the adoption of a
sewer service charge, and
WHEREAS, public hearings on all taxes and tax increases
have always been held by the District, as required by Section
3.020, Section 16 of the Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT that it shall hereby
be the policy of the Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to hold a public hearing within the District or any
Subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District in which
any increase in the sewer service charge is contemplated, and said
hearing shall be held before any ordinance is adopted increasing
the sewer service charge within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District or any Subdistrict thereof.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted June 20, 1963.
