WHEREAS, the boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District includes all of the City of St. Louis and a
considerabLe portion of St. Louis County, which together comprise
much of the metropolitan St. Louis area, and
WHEREAS, the members of the Board of Trustees of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, in the performance of their
duties, enact many Ordinances and Resolutions affecting property
within the boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT that the following
policy is hereby adopted:
Effective July 15, 1963, each member of the Board of
Trustees and the Executive Director, General Counsel, Secretary-
Treasurer and Director of Finance shall file with the Secretary-
Treasurer of the District a list of all real property located
within the boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District
and within any of the following categories:
1. That real property of which he owns 30% of more in his own
name or in the name of a straw party.
2. That real property of which 30% or more is owned by a
corporation in which he owns a controlling interest.
3. That real property of which 30% or more is owned by a
partnership in which he is a partner.
4. That real property of which 30% or more is owned by a trustee
of a trust for which he is a beneficiary.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that when any trustee or such
officer acquires any new property within the boundaries of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District he shall notify the
Secretary-Treasurer of his acquisition of said property within
thirty days from the date of the conveyance of same.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that when any new trustee or
such officer is appointed he shall, within thirty days from the
date he is sworn in as a member of the Board of Trustees or
accepts such appointment, so file such a report.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the record of the ownership
of the property of the Trustees or officers as filed pursuant to
this Resolution shall not be a public record and shall be open to
inspection by all members of the Board of Trustees. It shall also
be made available to public media including press, radio, and
television upon written request to the Board of Trustees and
approved by the Chairman.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted June 20, 1963.
