HomeMy Public PortalAboutR0729 R E S O L U T I O N NO. 729 WHEREAS, there exist within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and within the City of St. Louis certain sewers hereinafter described which are in such condition as to be acceptable to the District for public operation and maintenance, and which it is desirable for the District to operate and maintain, and WHEREAS, the District by Ordinance No. 88, adopted the 16th day of July, 1956, is authorized to assume title to any or all sewers, easements and appurtenances by resolution whenever, in the opinion of counsel, no person competent to convey title can be found, and upon recommendation of the Executive Director that the District should assume title to such sewers, and WHEREAS, the General Counsel has given his opinion that no person, can be found who is competent to convey title to the hereinafter described sewers and the Executive Director recommends that the District should assume title to such sewers, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that title to the following described sewers and their appurtenances in the City of St. Louis be and are hereby assumed by The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District for public use, operation and maintenance: 1. That sewer constructed under Permit No. 48311 and lying in Geraldine Avenue and extending northeastwardly from Thekla Avenue a distance of approximately 460 feet. 2. That sewer lying in the north-south alley in City Block 5080 and extending from Ruskin Avenue to Geraldine Avenue. 2 3. That sewer lying in Durant Avenue and extending from Thekla Avenue to Lillian Avenue. 4. That sewer lying in Queens Avenue and extending from Thekla Avenue to Lillian Avenue. 5. That sewer lying in a right-of-way 3 feet wide in City Block 5744 extending from the center of Kingshighway Boulevard to the center of Queens Avenue, together with such right-of-way; and also a sewer lying in the east-west alley in such City Block 5744 and extending from such 3 foot wide right-of- way westwardly a distance of approximately 100 feet. 6. That sewer lying in the east-west alley in City Block 5588A and extending from Hooke Avenue to Theodore Avenue. 7. That sewer lying in Aubert Avenue and extending from Hooke Avenue to Theodore Avenue. The foregoing Resolution was adopted July 9, 1964.
